Keepie Uppies with Richey & Tots

We played Keepie Uppies with Cristiano Ronaldo's No.1 Fan, Linfield Ladies midfielder (not right back!) Mia Fitzsimmons!.  We chat about playing football against boys, her success with Portaferry camogs, penalties, playing for Linfield & the fierce local rivalries, representing Northern Ireland U19s & much more!......

On Monday we played a game of Keepie Uppies with the young and impressive Patrick Kelly.  The Portstewart native recently moved to West Ham. Having graudated through the Coleraine FC Academy he went on to play for the 1st team and caught the eye of the Premier League Club.   We talk about his early years at Coleraine, how he grabbed the attention of manager Oran Kearney,  his european ventures with club and country, life as a full time footballer and much more!.  

A rising star and an impressive young man.  Everyone at Keepie Uppies HQ wish him every success.

On Friday 4th November we got to play a game of Keepie Uppies in a packed room to chat with local football legend Harry Dickson.  On the night Harry was declared honorary club president of Oxford Sunnyside FC and the club named the stand after him.

Harry was joined by alot of his former players and club members from the great Oxford United teams for a night of refelction and a catch up with old football friends.  Maurice McMullan was on hand to sing the Oxford United song as we laughed our way through a great night.

A great game of Keepie Uppies for a great man.  Delighted to get this one done as it was one of our ambitions from the beginning of the podcast concept.  We also took the Podcast to a new level with it being captured on camera........footage to be released soon.

Tummery Athletic player-manager Ryan Hanna played a super game of Keepie Uppies! We chatted about crying over Cantona, captaining his county at the Milk Cup under Whitey Anderson, the great 5 in-a-row Enniskillen Town team, winning back to back Mercer titles with Tummery, the one & only Chunky & much more!

This week we played Keepie Uppies with Enniskillen Rangers coach Lee Hamilton. We chatted about David Seaman, Fermanagh native & Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna, the Junior Cup, the Virtual Irish Cup, the brilliant work of TAMHI & much more!

Cliftonville's midfield maestro, Vicky Carleton, played a blinder on Keepie Uppies!  We chatted about her younger years, playing against Arsenal & Anderlecht, competing in the Champions League, her injury nightmare, Kenny Shiels, future goals, the gym & Dominoes!

NIFL CEO Gerard Lawlor played a brilliant game of Keepie Uppies.  We chatted about his younger days, his passion for local football, becoming chairman of Cliftonville, the late great Tommy Breslin, the 36m Stadium fund, Ladies Football & much more !

Unbelievable Geoff ! - Lurgan Town legend Geoff Greenaway played Keepie Uppies.  We chatted about his youth days and the glory days with Lurgan Town Seniors, playing against Northern Ireland star Niall McGinn, 3 weeks in France, retiring from playing and his new found passion for blogging (check blog link below).....plus Michael O'Neill's potential return to Northern Ireland.....

Tommy Stewart played Keepie Uppies and he had quite a story!  We chatted about youth days at Portadown Boys, playing with Paul Ince & Glen Ferguson, breaking records in Americia, working with Michael O'Neill & Stephen Kenny,  Euro 2022 & much more !

A great chat with Richard Gowdy.  The Newington FC captain talked about the chaos and delight surrounding the league title win and the history making promotion to the NIFL Championship and the do's and don'ts on winning the prestigious Steel and Sons Cup.  His football journey is very much in full swing and his hardworking attributes and leadership qualities will see Newington compete on all fronts.   Roy Keane got a mention as well as a few team mates.   Check out his goal last season against Lisburn Distillery and whatever you do don't mention Sheffield Utd in the Foyle Cup !!!!
